Biografia do realizador: Sofia graduated from the Documentary Directing program at the Russian State University of Cinematography. Her graduation film, Given in Exchange, about abandoned newborns, premiered in the short film competition at the Camerimage Film Festival in Poland and was broadcast on Holland Doc 24. The film received the CILECT Documentary Prize 2014 from the International Association of Film and Television Schools in Los Angeles.
In 2018, Sofia released a feature-length observational documentary as part of the global project Phenoms with 21st Century Fox, focusing on up-and-coming soccer players on their journey to the national team. The film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and aired worldwide on National Geographic, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.
In 2025, Sofia completed the Kino Eyes Joint Master Degree Program in Fiction Film Directing, during which she directed her first narrative short films, Prayer and Holly_F3ck.
